> > > > > > NL EN (scroll down) FR Chers amis, chers amateurs d’art, L'Atelier 34zero Muzeum propose une exposition de deux jeunes artistes belges : Michel Walgraeve et Han Decorte. Celle-ci se déroulera du 20 avril au 4 juin 2017. Le travail de Michel Walgraeve est empreint de sensibilité tout autant que d’humour. Ses photographies en noir et blanc constituent une tentative de transmettre au spectateur le monde qui nous entoure. Cependant, le traitement choisi par l’artiste (cadrage, travail des contrastes) éloigne ces œuvres d’un simple travail documentaire. Le subtil dosage entre obscurité, mystère et lumière touche à la fragilité et à l’imperfection de notre condition humaine. Han Decorte cherche toujours le support approprié pour une idée, c'est pourquoi toutes ses œuvres sont tellement différentes les unes des autres. Pourtant, il existe une ligne rouge qui serpente tout au long de son travail. L’artiste est souvent inspirée par les secrétions et autres déchets du corps humain car celles-ci sont étranges, complexes et très belles. En outre, la plupart de ses pièces brouillent la distinction entre l'art et le design et dénotent un humour mordant: c'est un peu émoussé et rugueux aux bords! Cette exposition s’inscrit dans une démarche de soutien à la jeune création contemporaine. Elle est essentielle pour l’Atelier 34zero Muzeum qui se veut à la fois un lieu d’expositions thématique, mais également un espace de visibilité pour les jeunes artistes qui bénéficient ainsi de conditions optimales pour présenter leurs œuvres. Je vous invite, chaleureusement, au vernissage de cette nouvelle exposition le jeudi 20 avril 2017 à partir de 19h. Comme toujours, des spécialités gustatives jetto-polonaises vous seront proposées, ainsi que des bières catholiques et différentes vodkas des Carpates. NL Beste vrienden, beste kunstliefhebbers, Atelier 34zero Muzeum organiseert een tentoonstelling van twee jonge Belgische kunstenaars: Michel Walgraeve en Han Decorte. Deze tentoonstelling is te bezichtigen vanaf 20 april tot en met 4 juni 2017. Het werk van Michel Walgraeve is vol gevoeligheid en humor. Zijn zwart-wit foto's vormen een poging om de wereld om ons heen over te brengen aan de kijker. Echter, door de kunstenaars gekozen behandelingen (compositie, bewerken van de contrasten, ...) overstijgen deze kunstwerken het eenvoudige documentaire werk. De subtiele balans tussen duisternis, mysterie en licht raakt aan de kwetsbaarheid en onvolmaaktheid van onze menselijkheid. Han Decorte zoekt altijd naar het geschikte medium voor een idee, dat is de reden waarom al haar werken zo verschillend zijn van elkaar. Toch is er een rode draad doorheen haar werk. De kunstenaares is vaak geïnspireerd door de menselijk excretie stoffen, omdat ze vreemd, complex en tergelijkertijd erg mooi zijn. Bovendien bevinden de meeste van haar stukken zich op de scheidingslijn tussen kunst en design en hebben een scherpe humor: het is vrij direct en een beetje ruw. Deze tentoonstelling is een onderdeel van onze aanpak om jonge hedendaagse kunstenaars te ondersteunen. Het is van essentieel belang voor het Atelier 34zero Muzeum, die zowel een locatie is voor thematische tentoonstellingen als een ruimte om jonge kunstenaars zichtbaarheid te geven en zo kunnen die profiteren van de optimale omstandigheden voor het presenteren van hun werken. Ik wil u van harte uitnodigen, voor de opening van deze nieuwe tentoonstelling op donderdag 20 april 2017 van 19:00.Zoals altijd worden er smaakvolle Jettse-Poolse specialiteiten aangeboden, evenals katholieke bieren en verschillende wodka’s van de Karpaten! EN Dear friends, dear art lovers, The Atelier 34zero Muzeum is organising an exhibition of two young Belgian artists: Michel Walgraeve and Han Decorte. This exhibition will be visible from the 20th of April until the 4th of June 2017. The work of Michel Walgraeve is full of sensitivity as well as of humor. His black and white photographs constitute an attempt to convey to the spectator the world around us. However, the treatment chosen by the artist (composition, work on the contrasts) diverts these art pieces from a simple documentary work. The subtle balance between darkness, mystery and light touches the fragility and imperfection of our human condition. Han Decorte always looks for the appropriate medium for an idea, that’s why all her works are so different from each other. Yet, there is a red line throughout her work. The artist is often inspired by the human excretory substances because they are strange and complex and very beautiful. Moreover, most of her pieces blur the division line between art and design and denote a biting humor: it’s a bit blunt and rough around the edges! This exhibition is part of our approach to support young contemporary artists. It is essential for the Atelier 34zero Muzeum, which is both a venue for thematic exhibitions and a space for visibility for young artists who thus benefit from optimal conditions for presenting their works.
